Cream and purple Wooden Dreidel

Every Chanukah needs a dreidel, and this one brings warmth and colour to the game. A natural cream base is decorated with ripples of red, orange and purple, bursts of stars and bold purple Hebrew letters, finished with a striped handle that’s easy for little fingers to spin.

The game has been played by Jewish children for generations. Each player adds to the pot, whether that’s chocolate gelt, coins or lollies, then gives the dreidel a spin. Land on Nun and nothing happens. Gimel wins the pot, Hei wins half, and Peh means adding one more. Together the four letters spell out “Nes Gadol Haya Po”, a great miracle happened here, linking the fun straight back to the story of Chanukah.

It’s a simple way to bring the whole family together after the candles are lit, and a natural conversation starter for children learning about the festival for the first time.

Tuck it into a Chanukah gift bag, give it to grandchildren, or pick up a few for a classroom or community celebration.

Add Chanukah activity books and stickers for more ways to keep children involved, and see our Chanukah collection for menorahs, table décor and family gifts. Prefer something bolder? Our purple and pink wooden dreidel is the same playful style in a brighter colourway.
