Purple and Pink Wooden Dreidel

Bring everyone to the floor (or the table) for a round of Chanukah’s favourite game with this purple and pink wooden dreidel. Decorated with wavy stripes and scattered stars, it’s a bright, cheerful way to get children involved in the celebration.

Playing is simple. Everyone puts a coin, chocolate gelt or a lolly into the pot, then takes turns spinning. Where the dreidel lands decides the move: Nun means nothing happens, Gimel takes the whole pot, Hei takes half and Peh means putting one back in. The Hebrew letters stand for “Nes Gadol Haya Po”, a great miracle happened here, so every spin is a small reminder of the Chanukah story.

It’s a lovely way to fill the time between candle lighting and dinner, and to keep children engaged at family gatherings across all eight nights. Grandparents and older siblings can join in too, which is half the fun.

The dreidel makes an easy Chanukah gift for children, a class gift for teachers to share, or a festive extra in a Chanukah gift bag.
